Memorial House of Mother Teresa in Skopje
The Memorial House of Mother Teresa in Skopje is built in the honor of the great humanitarian and founder of the religious congregation Missionaries of Charity, Mother Theresa. The Memorial House was built on sacred ground, where the Roman Catholic Church “Sacred Heart of Jesus” was located. This was the church where Mother Therese was baptized. She was born in Skopje in 1910. The church was completely destroyed during the earthquake in 1963. The Memorial House was officially opened on the 30th of January 2009.
