Departure from Skopje with our vehicle and our local tourist guide . On this day tour, we start with one of the most important medieval monastery of Grachanica on Kosovo site (90 km or 1 hour and 50 minutes driving). Than we drive to Kosovo’s capital Prishtina (20 minutes away from Grachanica).We will explore and visit the Emin Gjiku Ethnographic Museum, set in Ottoman houses, with a range of Ottoman weapons, clothing and jeweler and household items exhibited. In the city centre will see a 26 metre high clock tower. We will stop at the National Library to see the unique architecture of this bizarre building. In the Independent House of Kosovo we will find out the story of the former president Ibrahim Rugova and Kosovo’s campaign for independence from Serbia and we will also see the Newborn Monument, from 17 February 2008 when Kosovo first declared its liberation.Sultan Mehmet Fatih Mosque and Jashar Pasha Mosque are the next on the list, the most important Ottoman mosques and local attractions. Free time for lunch. Heading back to Macedonia, we will stop in the centre of the city of Prizren in Kosovo (85 km or 1 hour and 30 minutes driving), known for its gold and silver filigree craftsmen, the hammam, the museum of Prizren League, the Helveti Tekke, the Sinia Pasha Mosque and the church of Our Lady of Ljevis.
Prizren has the largest number of preserved Ottoman buildings in Kosovo, with the old cobbled streets, mosques and tekkes. Returning back to Skopje (100 km, about 2 hours driving).
